The 2007 Calina Chardonnay was one of the Wine Enthusiast's Top Values for 2008, receiving a Best Buy designation and this review: "Calina Chardonnay was born in 2001 and in every year since the wine has achieved Best Buy status. The 2007 is full of apple, pineapple and banana aromas and flavors. Along the way hazelnuts, pear and honey enter the mix. Light but not forced, with proper acidity and balance." (09/08) The current release is every bit as good, possessing the characteristics every wine consumer is looking for. The 2008 Reserva Chardonnay shows subtle aromas of butter, balanced by notes of citrus blossoms, green and red apples, white peach and melon. The wine is velvety smooth on the palate with light oak flavors, good acidity, a crisp, long finish and a hint of minerality. 100% Chardonnay grown in Casablanca and Limarí.
